| March 14 | Pi Day Festival. 7:00 at Theater Lawrence, 1501 New Hampshire, Lawrence, Kansas. The Alferd Packer Memorial String Band Hosts an evening of short acts of Math and Science Humor. There will be a Pi recitation contest, and a pie baking contest. Pies will be judged, and two prizes given, in the categories of creativity and flavor. All entries will then be shared with the attendees in Pie-luck fashion. We will provide plates and flatware. Please bring pie servers. Admission is $10. Pie Makers get in free. |
